Responsible for providing valuable contributions in psychology through excellence in teaching, research, mentoring and advising. Applicants from clinical/counseling psychology are invited to apply, and preference will be given to those with some experience in psychophysiology and psychopharmacology. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in a wide array of psychology courses including clinical and counseling psychology, developmental psychology, human sexuality, drugs and behavior, psychophysiology, and psychopharmacology. Candidates are also expected to develop an active research program.? Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of New Mexico as a clinical psychologist is preferred. Licensure is required before the award of tenure. ? DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:? Faculty contractual duties include, but are not limited to: Teach (normal teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year)clinical/counseling psychology courses and an array of other psychology classes May be assigned to teach evening and/or Saturday classes, courses via ITV, and/or develop and teach WEB CT courses Hold office hours as required Advise students on academic and vocational curricula Direct student research and independent studies Serve on faculty and committees ?Develop an active research program in Psychology and disseminate findings to a larger audience May supervise work study students Maintain regular attendance Perform other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: ?Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology (ABD will be considered) EXPERIENCE:? None ? PREFERRED: Experience in psychophysiology or psychopharmacology Licensure in the State of New Mexico as a clinical psychologist Experience with distance and technology education delivery systems EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Eligibility for licensure in the State of New Mexico as a clinical psychologist Must be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist prior to award of tenure KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Skill and expertise in the classroom Ability in the use of technologies and/or strategies to enhance pedagogy Ability to work effectively with a culturally-diverse student body Ability to develop effective methodology for the integration of teaching and research Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal physical requirements ?
