Twenty First Century Muscle Cars
If Muscle cars are defined as 2-door coupes with high performance V8 engines then years just don?t matter because now NEW IS CLASSIC!
That?s right, in 2011 Dodge introduced an upgrade to their Charger SRT8 to include a 6.4L, Hemi V8, 470 hp with the ability to reach a top speed of 175.? It looks like a Muscle Car, sounds like a Muscle Car but runs faster and is styled to impress.
Not only is this car an updated version of their 1950?s classic, it also claims to use Fuel Saver Technology getting an estimated 20 MPG.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! This advance allows the driver to select 4 cylinders when driving at less than usual Hemi speed. Nice going Dodge.
The 2012 Dodge Challenger also went through some serious upgrades as well.
MSRP for these beauties starts at around $43,000.

Chrysler High Performance!
In 1951, Chrysler was the first to enter the market with a change to the common automobile engine. ?Chrysler reshaped the cylinder heads to create more power, improved the flow or intake and exhaust gases and changed the position of the spark plugs to maximize ignition conversion.? This marked the birth of the Hemi V8.? When the Hemi was first introduced in 1951 it generated 331 HP which at the time was incredibly fast.? Quite a boost into the 21st century with new classics getting up to 556 HP.
