Vincent H. Frankel, head of ethics and business standards for Orange and Rockland Utilities, is the new executive director of The Palisades Institute of Dominican College.?
Frankel, who takes the post effective July 1, has been a member of the Board of Advisors of the Institute since 2011. Frankel, a longtime Rockland resident, assists O&R employees with ethical decisions in their dealings with contractors, vendors, and each other.?
He will remain with O&R and will serve as a volunteer as head of The Palisades Institute.
Before joining O&R earlier this year, Frankel was a department manager in Con Edison?s Employee & Labor Relations Department. Since joining Con Edison in 1986, Frankel, 56, has held a variety of positions throughout the company, including systems manager in Information Resources, section manager in Human Resources and manager of College Programs.
Frankel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the City College of New York. He completed an executive development program at the Darden School of the University of Virginia and received certification as a Senior Human Resource Professional from the Human Resource Certification Institute.? He is a member of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association.
The Palisades Institute was created in 1990 as part of Dominican College in Blauvelt. to serve for-profit, government, and not-for-profit organizations.? The Palisades Institute is based on the belief that people in all organizations are confronted with a myriad of issues in their work lives which would be better handled with a greater understanding and application of the principles of Quality, Leadership and Ethics.??
The Institute offers seminars and workshops that address issues related to the integration of these principles from a variety of perspectives.
